Tia Maria’s European Cafe

In a two-phase project, this renovation completely restored and refreshed this Historic Structures appearance. Tia Maria’s European Cafe is a popular hotspot located in the historical downtown of New Bedford.

Phase 1 work included important structural changes such as removing load-bearing walls and reinforcing the building’s structure. This design also features a new ADA compliant bathroom, a bistro bar, extra kitchen space, and plenty more seating for Tia Maria’s loyal customers to accommodate continued success.

Phase 2 work included the complete reconstruction of this property’s front facade. This project made history, as it was the first project that the New Bedford Historic Commission allowed to be done completely out of PVC trim material. From new siding, trim, a rear porch, and HVAC condenser screening, this property truly got the refresh that it was needing.
